Simon Backhouse is one of the newest recruits in the Friday @ Family team, but all that means is you can expect a lot more surprises from him. Growing up he was drawn to the powerful transformational effect of Trance on an individual and knew he had to be apart of it. What is the key to making a killer set?
A killer set needs 3 things. A set of decks, an enthusiastic and open minded crowd and someone who knows how to use the two to be explosive. I am a huge fan of going into a gig with absolutely no idea what I am going to play - I take requests through the movement of the crowd.
What is the sound of Dynasty, what sets you apart?
The sound of DYNASTY? Tough question. With a background of harder dance and a preference of techy uplifting trance I guess my ability to twist the two together and really put on a performance is what I like to do best. I guess the part that sets me aside is the way i interact with the people in front
